** SSL via local Apache proxy server. SSL certificates begin at only £16.50 / $25.00 per year, including installation. While SSL does protect data transmitted between your browser and the server, it does not make the XE database safe to store sensitive financial information such as credit card data. If you are using your own domain or subdomain, a dedicated IP is required. Dedicated IP addresses are £2.00 / $3.00 per month.
Google Apps Email allows you to use your own domain name for email accounts. The Standard Edition is free and currently offers 6 GIG per email address.

Q: What are the limitations on 10g Express?
A. Oracle 10g Express does have inherent limits in terms of performance, security, and feature set. It will only utilize a maximum of 1 GIG RAM, will only use one CPU, and is limited to 4 GIG of storage space. Only 1 Oracle 10g Express database may be installed per physical machine. In general, an XE based APEX solution is only appropriate for small, light applications. You can learn more about feature set and security limitations here. Our goal in offering our shared packages is to make APEX accessible so that you can host your application using your own domain or subdomain at a reasonable price.
Q: Do you offer dedicated APEX hosting?
A: Yes. If you require a dedicated environment, please review our Oracle APEX dedicated services.
Q: Is there any minimum contract length?
A: No. Billing is month to month and you can cancel at any time.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept PayPal (US and UK) as well as major credit / debit cards (US and UK).
Q: Can I buy additional space?
A: Yes. In addition to above, we also offer APEX 5, 500 MEG for £40.00 / $60.00 per month and APEX 6, 1 GIG, for £80.00 / $120.00 per month. Custom plans and additional add-on space available as well with pricing proportionate to above. Please contact us for details or order via your client area if you are an existing customer.
Q: Do I need to use my own domain name?
A: No. You can use ours if you prefer.
Q: If I wish to use my own domain name, must it be purchased through you?
A: No. You can use a domain purchased anywhere. You simply update your name servers to those we will provide you as you would with any hosting account.
Q: How many domain names can I use?
A: For APEX 1 and 2, we will map 1 domain or subdmain. For APEX 3 and 4, we will map 2 domains or subomains. Additional domains are £5.00 / $3.50 per annum.
Q: Your Linux cPanel hosting and Windows Hosting includes client software, if I have an APEX account, can I program my Linux cPanel site against my schema?
A: Yes! If you have any of our Linux cPanel shared hosting accounts or Windows hosting accounts, along with any APEX package, you can utilize your alloted Oracle Space however you like.
Q: Can I use my .de or .fr domain?
A: Yes - our DNS meets DENIC and AFNIC requirements.
Q: What don't I get with these packages?
A: You need to know if your application requires the advanced features of the full 10gR2 or 11g editions. If you do require such features, please review other providers listed here.
